(And one of the Pablos, et al.)
“Trust is choosing to make something important to you, vulnerable to the actions of someone else. Distrust is what I have shared with you that is important to me is not safe with you.”―Charles Feltman, The Thin Book of Trust
“Your children are not your children. They are sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but not seek to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.”―Kahlil Gibran
“If It Doesn't Open... It's Not Your Door You cannot open a door meant for someone else, it's just not possible. But you are meant to open your own doors. The best thing you can do as the loved one of someone with an addiction is to stop trying to open the addict's door, and to instead focus on your own life.”―Candace Plattor, Registered Clinical Counselor
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.” (Voltaire)François-Marie Arouet
“Can’t one man make a success of himself. Ain’t seen him yet.”―John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega
“My dad always tells me one thing: ‘Don’t overpay with respect.’ You can pay respect, but sometimes you’ll be overpaying and selling yourself short.”―John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”―George Orwell
“When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”―Sinclair Lewis
“Everybody is the hero in their own story”―Chadwick Boseman
“Justice is not a qualitative question.”―Dr. Kwame Ture
“I believe that we can craft a brighter reality.”―Riley Johndonnell
“WAKANDA FOREVER!”―Err'body
“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”―Pablo Picasso

FDA (Food and Drug Administration)
WARNING!METHANOL IN MANY HAND-SANITIZER BRANDS
[7-2-2020] FDA is warning consumers and health care providers that the agency has seen a sharp increase in hand sanitizer products that are labeled to contain ethanol (also known as ethyl alcohol) but that have tested positive for methanol contamination. Methanol, or wood alcohol, is a substance that can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested and can be life-threatening when ingested... .Consumers who have been exposed to hand sanitizer containing methanol and are experiencing symptoms should seek immediate treatment for potential reversal of toxic effects of methanol poisoning. Substantial methanol exposure can result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death. Although all persons using these products on their hands are at risk for methanol poisoning, young children who accidently [sic] ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute, are most at risk.

SAY THEIR NAMES, SAY THEIR NAMES.
"The most unfathomable schools and sages have never attained to the gravity which dwells in the eyes of a baby of three months old. It is the gravity of astonishment at the universe, and astonishment at the universe is not mysticism, but a transcendent common sense. The fascination of children lies in this: that with each of them all things are remade, and the universe is put again upon its trial. As we walk the streets and see below us those delightful bulbous heads, three times too big for the body, which mark these human mushrooms, we ought always to remember that within every one of these heads there is a new universe, as new as it was on the seventh day of creation. In each of those orbs there is a new system of stars, new grass, new cities, a new sea."—G. K. Chesterton

"This Free Black Mental Health App Was Created Two Years Ago. It's Especially Relevant Right Now for Our Community." Jessica Moulite, Theroot.com. [3:46] Jasmin Pierre isn’t shy when it comes to discussing her mental health journey with others. “I’m really not afraid to put it all out there. Like, people know that I’ve been suicidal. People know that I’ve been in a mental institution,” said the 31-year-old mental health advocate and app creator. By being so open about her story, Pierre hopes to normalize these conversations among Black people in order to remove the stigma associated with mental health challenges. That’s one of the reasons why the New Orleans native created “The Safe Place,” a mental health app created with Black folks and cultural competency in mind. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the country’s continued racial trauma and unrest, Jasmin has witnessed an increase in downloads. - "19th Amendment Turns 100: Fight for Voting Rights Builds on Centuries of Struggle Led by Black Women." Democracy Now!, Youtube. [6:10] As this year marks 100 years since the ratification of 19th Amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing women's right to vote, we look at the connection between the movement for women's suffrage and the movement to abolish slavery. Many states created laws to continue to deny women the vote, and African American women were subjected to the same Jim Crow laws already used to deny the vote to African American men. "To look for African American women and their history of the vote in 1920 is to miss the important chapter that begins in 1920 and doesn't culminate until the Voting Rights Act is adopted in 1965," says author and Johns Hopkins University history professor Martha Jones, whose forthcoming book is "Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers, Won the Vote, and Insisted on Equality for All." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4r-Gusag1E
