My name is April Hedge and I'm 49 years old. I was born to two immigrant
Multicultural parents. My sister and I also had a music talk show. We did all kinds of music. In 2001 - 2005 I took an indie
producing course along with my sister and we got certified in eight
weeks. That's how all the producing started. In 2005, I became
unemployed for several years and I had to think of something to do, so I
went back to doing hair at home. I also made some body scrubs that were
made out of salt and other natural oils at the time. It
put a few dollars in my pocket and I was glad to come out with body
scrubs that were sort of different. My products have
been upgraded since then. In 2006, I received a Proclamation Award along with my sister, for producing a
makeover shows that help ladies. We gave one lady a makeover. I had
one lady named who was overcoming drug addiction. She lived it
and has stayed on the right track. In 2015 my first oils were created: Avocado olive and Tahitian coconut In
2018, my business was registered and launched in 2020. I also went back to fulfilling my dream ... I went back to acting. I auditioned for a Brooklyn web
series, called Bad blood Animosity. I worked with the series for one year, and I left in January 2021 to do my own thing. Now, I'll be producing my own web series: Trained to kill But Also love  . Coming 2022 I am perfecting my coconut cinnamon bark toner for the face. It has benefiting oils that prevent breakouts. I have not had a breakout of pimples and eczema while using it. Along with FACE BUTTA. I have the Karen Oil. Now, it's time to create more skin care that helps Eczema and burns. Our launch will feature all products at Sample Extravaganza, along with shirts.

the debate inside the Israeli government is whether to allow "bare
survival" or to inflict "misery and starvation," as a former Israeli
national security adviser recently proposed. “Israeli experts have
calculated in detail exactly how many calories, literally, Gazans need
to survive, and if you look at the sanctions that they impose, they’re
grotesque,” Chomsky says. “I mean, even John Kerry condemned them
bitterly, they’re sadistic — just enough calories to survive." Chomsky
also addresses the widespread focus on the Hamas charter platform
calling for the destruction of Israel. "The only people who pay
attention to it are Israeli propagandists, who love it," Chomsky says.
"It was a charter put together by a small group of people under siege,
under attack in 1988. And it’s essentially meaningless. There are
charters that mean something, but they’re not talked about. So, for
example, the electoral program of Israel’s governing party, Likud,
states explicitly that there can never be a Palestinian state west of
the Jordan River… And they don’t only have it in their charter, you

Amid nationwide protests over police abuse, we speak with Cariol Horne,
the Buffalo police officer whom a New York court has just vindicated
for stopping a fellow cop from choking a handcuffed Black man during an
arrest. In 2006, Horne, who is Black, saw a white officer repeatedly
punching the man in the face before putting him in a chokehold. After
Horne heard the man say "I can't breathe," she intervened by grabbing
the officer's arm. Horne was sanctioned by the Buffalo Police
Department, reassigned, then fired in 2008, just months before she was
eligible to receive her full pension. A new ruling makes her eligible
for back pay and pension benefits. Horne says she is now calling on
state governments and Congress to follow the lead of Buffalo, which
passed Cariol's Law, legislation that makes it the duty of officers to
intervene in cases of brutality. "I knew that I did the right thing,"
Horne says. We also speak with Intisar Rabb, a Harvard Law professor who
is one of three attorneys representing Horne. Cariol's Law "should
spread far and wide" to other cities and states, Rabb says. Democracy

abolition, act like it is something new that the “liberal left” has
created to scare some Democrats into supporting Republicans. They’ve
never read a book about it, and have little understanding about it. All

imagine how you would feel if someone told you that you have no right to
those photographs. Such is the plight of Tamara Lanier, who has taken
on the Ivy League behemoth to secure the rights to the photos, which
languished in a drawer out of sight and away from the public eye for
years. The daguerreotypes depict women and men, breasts and genitalia
exposed, their haunting stares a riveting testament to the degradation

the drawer explained what they’d discovered. Only small, handwritten
labels affixed to each offered clues: “Fassena (carpenter), Mandingo,
plantation of Col. Wade Hampton, near Columbia, S.C.” “Jack (driver),
Guinea, plantation of B.F. Taylor, Esq., Columbia, S.C.” “Jem, Gullah,
belonging to F.W. Green, Esq.” One of the researchers rushed downstairs
to summon their colleagues. The discovery sent Reichlin and others on a
quest to solve the disturbing mystery. It continues today, 45 years
later. But Harvard historians weren’t the only ones hunting for clues.
In 2019, a woman named Tamara Lanier sued the university for possession
of the daguerreotypes. Based on her own research, she claimed to be a
