EDITORIAL- IKIGAI in Niarobi

I like to think each and every one of us on this planet is looking for ways to have individual satisfaction and a sense of meaning of life. I've been taking this literary journey reading on IKIGAI.  Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being."  I can best relate this with my American mindset understanding as having a firm foundation in your life that supports the personal things you love and value. It becomes part of your belief system. It is the reason why you get up in the morning.  IKIGAI for me is developing my inner self that is faithfully spontaneous and never doing from a place of duty.
In this editorial , I'm looking for how IKIGAI is incorporated in other cultures. Africa is one of the countries that had used the Japanese concept. I'm curious how African culture willingly embraced a Japanese philosophy. In turn I hope Japan has done the same.--FreedomWalker

beetle's Sources, Citations, Credits, and Links

Themed credits and links that carry across multiple episodes will be archived at their own PAGES, as the credits and resources grow larger.

Each "new" Òrìṣà-Ifá or BlackGirlMagic credit/resource will, by the week after its addition, be taken off the weekly credits (unless it's used again as a source) and added to the appropriate page under "
PAGES: Themed/Compiled Resources," in the sidebar for this blog. That way, we'll keep the weekly credits as streamlined and accessible as possible.--beetle
