Wikipedia - The Gullah/Geechee people are descendants of enslaved Africans from various ethnic groups of west and central Africa. Brought to the New World and forced to work on the plantations of coastal South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida, Gullah/Geechee people have retained many aspects of their African heritage due to the geographic barriers of the coastal landscape and the strong sense of place and family of Gullah/Geechee community members. Today, the cultural and linguistic umbrella of the Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor extends from Wilmington, NC to St. Augustine, FL. People who identify as Gullah or Geechee represent the many ways that Africans in the Americas have held on to and amalgamated the traditions of Africa with the cultures they encountered both during and after enslavement.

- "Bob Marley & The Wailers - Redemption Song (Official Video)." Bob Marley, Youtube. February 5, 2020. [3:55] The Redemption Song video was created by French artists Octave Marsal & Theo De Gueltzl. Marsal & De Gueltzl’s breathtaking animation, featuring 2747 original drawings, uses powerful symbols to amplify the magnitude of the song’s timeless lyrics and importance in today’s world. The video highlights Bob’s contribution to the empowerment of black civilization, as well as his manifestation of hope and recovery for all mankind. Inspired by Bob’s homeland of Jamaica, as well as insights received from his family, the artistic approach was to illustrate the imaginary world of Bob Marley in a way that highly stimulates self-reflection. https://youtu.be/yv5xonFSC4c

"Redemption Song" is a song by Bob Marley. It is the final track on Bob Marley and the Wailers' twelfth album, Uprising, produced by Chris Blackwell and released by Island Records.[2] The song is considered one of Marley's greatest works. Some key lyrics derived from a speech given by the Pan-Africanist orator Marcus Garvey entitled "The Work That Has Been Done".[3] At the time he wrote the song, circa 1979, Bob Marley had been diagnosed with the cancer in his toe that later took his life. According to Rita Marley, "he was already secretly in a lot of pain and dealt with his own mortality, a feature that is clearly apparent in the album, particularly in this song". Unlike most of Bob Marley's tracks, it is strictly a solo acoustic recording, consisting of his singing and playing an acoustic guitar, without accompaniment. The song is in the key of G major. "Redemption Song" was released as a single in the UK and France in October 1980, and included a full band rendering of the song. This version has since been included as a bonus track on the 2001 reissue of Uprising, as well as on the 2001 compilation One Love: The Very Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers. Although in live performances the full band was used for the song, the solo recorded performance remains the take most familiar to listeners.[citation needed] In 2004, Rolling Stone placed the song at #66 among "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". In 2010, the New Statesman listed it as one of the Top 20 Political Songs.[4] On February 5, 2020 (on the eve of what would have been his 75th birthday) Marley's estate released an official animated video for the song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redemption_Song

"Adult Wednesday Addams." Melissa Hunter, Popcornhorror.com. March 9, 2015. Writer, actor, and producer Melissa Hunter was told throughout her childhood how much she resembled the pale faced star of The Addams Family franchise; Wednesday. When she dressed as the character for Halloween a few years ago, she was shocked by the enthusiastic reaction of her friends. Inspired, Hunter created a web series imagining Wednesday Addams as an adult. “I was struck by what a hero she is,” Hunter remembers “She has a strong, distinct philosophical outlook. It’s incredibly dark but also oddly uplifting. … She makes the things we’re all scared of — assault, death, love — a little less scary by confronting them head-on.” Popcornhorror.com/adult-wednesday-addams/

I want to write about the owner who answers with a cruel shrug. Every time. For 24 hours I replaced my regular podcasts with ones that are furthest from my views. I went from The Friendzone Podcast to Get Off My Lawn. The title, which I normally would have glossed over, caught my attention because I instantly knew what it would be about. Talk about good branding. Keep reading to see how I unpack the experience of seeking to understand the point of view of the far right. https://medium.com/@delicieux.louna/racism-is-white-peoples-dog-eb351375e789
